Here we are, almost four years since I started this blog. Four years and only 40 posts. Yikes! Those are not good stats! I was rereading some of my posts and it felt like out of those 40, approximately 7 were "Sorry I've been MIA". I guess after the first five of those posts my readers realized that I go MIA a lot. Sorry. :)
All that to say, that I am now a dental school wife. Translation: I have a LOT of time on my hands. So with that time I should be able to update my blog more often! I hope that you will join me in my writings and our new adventure in San Antonio!
We are one week and two days into dental school and I have completed more tasks in these 7 days than I have in the 2 months we have been living in our apartment! I think that is a good thing? I finished sewing the bed skirt for our bed, I stained the couch tables that Taylor made me this summer, I finished painting a side table for the guest room and I ironed everything in our house that is ironable (yes I created that word, and yes that includes pillow shams - Grandmother, I know you're proud). I still have a lot to do but I'm excited to have the projects to keep me busy so I don't pester Taylor while he tries to study!
Speaking of studying, that is no joke in dental school ha! I know you're all probably shocked to hear this, but studying started day 2 (day 1 was orientation) and he had a quiz on day 5! Well he has a quiz every Friday. I know I wouldn't survive in dental school. That whole "cram the 3 days before a test" tactic doesn't really cut it. Taylor is doing an awesome job at staying focused and studying every day. EVEN Saturday! That's dedication! I'm so glad that we both knew our lives/marriage would look different once he started school, it has made this transition so much smoother!
I'm so scatterbrained today! I suppose it's because I haven't written in so long! I mainly wanted to let you all know that I REALLY am back! I wanted to tell everyone that we are living in San Antonio and have been here for 14 months and loving every moment of it...well I could do without the 100+ temps, but the rest we love! That we have a great church we attend with an awesome group of young married couples! That Taylor has started school and he is already in deep! That our sweet puppy is now 5 1/2 and she is doing great! And that I cannot wait to share with you some of our adventures from the last 4 years (our 4th anniversary is Thursday! Can you believe it???) and the many more to come! Thanks for sticking around/coming back!
Love you ALL!
