HELLO WHITE COAT!

This weekend we celebrated Taylor at his "Welcome to the Profession Ceremony". All of his classmates were recognized and they each received their white coat as a symbol of beginning a new journey in dentistry. There were speakers who all had advice for the new class of 2019, from the President to the dean to organization leaders. Everyone said they didn't want to talk about how hard dental school is, and then they all proceeded to talk about how hard dental school is :). They spoke about ethics in dentistry, and about the new family they have gained. It was nearly two hours long, but I think that everyone was able to take away something from the speeches.

After the ceremony we headed outside to take pictures with Taylor & his spiffy new white coat. He is SO handsome as it is, but then he put on that white coat and my knees buckled. :) Don't believe me? Look! Taylor won't wear his white coat everyday, but he will for guest lecturers and then once he is in clinical. It just makes him look so professional! I love it!

After the photo ops, we talked to some of his friends and introduced them to Taylor's dad & step mom. Then the four of us went on a tour of Taylor's new home - the dental school itself. He showed us his Sim Lab and where he sits. This is where he works on his wax creations & will work on a fake patient his first two years of school. Then we went and saw his classroom. Just one. That's all the have. If they aren't in lab they are in the classroom. So yes, there are days that Taylor sits in the same room for 8 hours. I suppose that's what we all do when we go to work. At least our spaces have windows!!! Taylor definitely wouldn't know if it was raining outside between the hours of 8:00AM - 5:00PM.

My favorite Dr. Kauffmans!

He may be tired of Paparazzi Paige

I really am so proud of Taylor and all he is accomplishing & will accomplish in the next four years and beyond! Way to go Tay, you make that white coat look GOOD!

Love you all!
